The Laurie Berkner Band, $19

The current kid-music renaissance owes much to Laurie Berkner (above, at right). When her videos first aired on Noggin in 2004, the perky, singable tunes quickly helped her band hit it big with a national audience. Sure, Raffi and the Wiggles were already household names to Pull-Ups wearers back then, but Berkner was the first to win over their parents as well. Since becoming a kid-pop superstar, though, the singer had not cut a new album (the birth of daughter Lucy, now 3, had something to do with that). Now the wait is over. And fans won't be disappointed—her catchy hooks and playful melodies are all there, even when the band takes fun detours into jazz and ska. It?ll be a matter of mere days before your kids—and you—have the whole album memorized. —Ages 2 and up
