A Trunkful of Music
Gather a bunch of instruments, then encourage kids to make some music and shake their tails.

Fill a trunk or basket with any children's drums, egg shakers, and tambourines you have in the house (or buy them at musictogether.com ). You can also have kids wear bell anklets ($20 for a dozen, globalmarketcatalog.com), as elephants in Indian ceremonies often do.

Turn on Indian music for children to play along with and dance to. Show them how to make elephant movements, flapping their ears to cool off (arms become ears) or stomping their feet as if stampeding.
