Pork Dumplings
- 3 scallions (green parts)
- 1 cabbage leaf
- 1 chopped onion
- 1/2 in. peeled ginger root
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 8-oz. can water chestnuts (drained)
- 1 1/4 lbs. ground pork
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp. soy sauce
- 1/4 cup oyster sauce
- 48 wonton wrappers
- Blend the first six ingredients in a food processor.
- In a bowl, combine the mixture with the pork, egg, soy sauce, and oyster sauce.
- Place 1 heaping teaspoon of the pork mixture in each wrapper and seal. Place the dumplings over additional cabbage leaves in a bamboo steamer ($19 for 2) and steam for 12 to 15 minutes.
