Milk Jug Monsters
These ghouls make breathe new life into your recycling and make excellent trick-or-treat partners.
MATERIALS
- Plastic milk jugs
- Wooden dowels
- Duct tape
- Bottle tops
- Plastic grocery bags
- Scissors
- Crepe paper or kitchen roll
- Red and black permanent markers
- Construction paper or ping pong balls
- Start the kids out by putting a dowel into the spout of the milk jug and taping around the bottom to hold it in place. To use a jug the other way round, cut a hole in the bottom and push the dowel into it.
- Cut plastic grocery bags in to strips to make hair, and tape them onto the top of the jug.
- Make loops of tape (sticky side out) and use them to stick bottle tops on to make eyes and ears. Draw other facial features on to the jugs with a permanent pen.
- To make a mummy, cut lengths of crepe paper or toilet paper and wrap them around the jug, holding the ends in place with tape.
- Make eyes from construction paper or use ping pong ball halves and permanent marker. Tape them onto the head.
