Kids' New Year's Eve Party
This New Year's Eve, raise a glass (whether it's filled with cider or champers) at an early-evening bash even the kids can enjoy.

Smash the Piñata

For those who can't stay up to watch the real ball fall in Times Square, replicate your own countdown with a 2009 pinata. Fill it with confetti poppers, horns, and sparklers to be used at the strike of 12 (or 8!). Be sure to have loot bags on hand so kids can stash their booty.

TIP: Piñata are built to take a beating! If your kids are young, cut a flap in the side to give them a head start.
