To corral the critters, we installed a wall shelf and glued mini picket fencing around the edges (regular Elmer's glue works fine).

The Supplies: Chunky three-foot wall shelf in Acorn, $34, West Elm. Crossbuck fencing, $10 for six 7 11/16-inch pieces, House Works, Dollhouse Miniatures.

Also Shown: Alex bed, $895 for twin, ducduc. Emilia Rund bedding, $15 for a twin-size quilt and a pillowcase, IKEA.
