In just a few short weeks, Americans will partake (we hope) in that civic duty called voting. While the major focus has been on the presidential race, voters will also weigh in on 153 ballot initiatives nationwide. Want to talk about Democracy? Of those that Americans will be voting on, nearly 60 were placed on the ballot by ordinary citizens who were able to garner enough signatures and support. Sure, many of the measures are your typically obscure government issues, but a select few initiatives could have a lasting impact on you and your family. Here, we break down some of the more intriguing votes that will be happening around the country. You might even get a chance to bone up on an issue being debated in your neck of the woods.
