Who:

Michelle Workman, Los Angeles–based interior designer and mother of Brody, 4, and Hartley, 1.

Why:

Because if she has time to design fabulous celebrity homes and still make her own family's home look great, we need in on the tricks up her sleeve.

Secret Weapon:

"Casseroles! They are so easy to prepare, and you get all your food groups in one dish. There is a great book called Marian Tracy's New Casserole Cookery—the first printing is from 1941," she says. "Whether you prep ahead of time or not, the things take five minutes to throw together." It's out of print, but you can easily find used editions online.

Signature Look:

"I wear a lot of jewelry, either several necklaces and bracelets or big rings. House of Love and Luck in L.A. has fabulous vintage statement pieces."

Kid Uniform:

"I love to see my boys in shorts and tank tops—I think they look so cute and manly. You can't go wrong with H&M or The Children's Place."
