To get in an appropriately spooky mood, we suggest you dig into Bone Soup,
which tells the story of a friendly skeleton named Finnigin who goes
hungry on Halloween. Kids will love the sweet story and you will love
the clean illustrations, though expect some exclamations of "Ew,
gross!" in regards to Finnigin's stew of eyeballs and toe nail
clippings. But let's be honest, that concoction might be downright
healthy compared to the mounds of sugar they'll be putting in their
bellies come Friday.
Submit a photo of your most creative jack-o-lantern carving, and you could win this and all of our other favorite Halloween goodies!
