Sleep Thieves

Crib_2 From an Australian study conducted by the University of Melbourne, Department of the Obvious, comes this shocking finding:

Parents who said their children had sleep problems tended to report poorer physical health and more emotional distress.

And this:

Mothers appeared to be particularly affected. This may be because mothers are usually the ones who deal with their children's sleep issues.

The researchers canvassed more than 10,000 families with infants or preschoolers to reach these startling conclusions.

Given the groundbreaking nature of their study, the  researchers could easily have rested on their laurels. But they also had invaluable new advice for sleep-deprived parents:

They don't need to 'put up with it' if their child's sleep is a problem for them.

Yeah, that's right, tell your infant that you are simply not going to put up with any more middle-of-the-night nonsense. That should do the trick. Next!
