One of my favorite travel memories is the time when I met the celebrity orangutan "Ah Meng" at the Singapore zoo. She was eating breakfast and drinking tea from a teacup with her pinky in the air-I'm smiling just thinking about it.  The Shangri-La Rasa Ria Resort is located in Kota Kinabalu, Malyasia, right next to the Orangutan education center.  Let's see ... a kid-friendly, gorgeous hotel with easy access to these incredible animals ... right up my alley.

When I was in Tokyo I bought a bunch of these Manga covered beauty products as souvenirs. They were a big hit, and appealed to both the young and young at heart on my list. Pearl and Cactus sheet masks are pictured above, but this line includes everything from lip gloss to moisturizer. The company Love Labo originally manufactured these items as a special promotion in 2006, but their popularity has made them a permanent fixture in drugstores all over Tokyo.

They're such a fun find, now if only I could find a place that will ship them stateside!

Why does everybody else seem to get it so right? TSA, please have a look!
It keeps us safe, and keeps us from spending too much on water after
security checkpoint, and, it looks cool.
