1. Marcel sofa, $1,099
"I love this bold graphic 70s-ish print. It would make a really fun statement, but I admit it's for the brave decorating soul. For the more timid, who still like the clean lines and compact scale of this design, there is a solid neutral option as well."

2. Whit coffee table, $299 
"I can not get over how beautiful this natural wood coffee table is, and how inexpensive!  You could pay ten times as much for a similar piece, but now you don't have to.  The style of the legs and the detailing at the joints are wonderful too. I'm obsessed."

3. Dempsey chair, $599
"It's got mid-century panache and looks great from all angles, especially the side. I would put two opposite a sofa (perhaps the Marcel?) for a very chic conversation nook."

4. Ergo drink table, $60
"This powder-coated side table has such a great modern silhouette, and is just the sort of piece that can set a room apart. Especially in red (it also comes in white), it's a playful finishing touch."

5. Graph desk, $299
"Any home office (or master bedroom or living room) will benefit from the hip styling of this desk. I like that it feels fun and casual, like it's meant for emailing friends and shopping online more than
for working."

The stroller is the ultimate impediment to tidiness, what with the unruly size, the wheels, the need for easy access. What a great idea, then, to hang it up and out of the way. The StrollAway is an over-the-door hanger on steroids. Adjustable to nine positions, it will securely grab most strollers--even double ones! When you don't need it, fold it flush to the door. Genius!

We are newly obsessed with Labour and Wait, which we just spotted on Design Mom (man, she's good!) The East London store has functional essentials that are simple and beautiful (case in point, the egg spoons and doorstop below).

Toy Box 1 ($195) is a refreshingly simple toy storage box. Hooray for the lack of decorative moons, cars, and hearts. The box also has a lift top with slow-closing hinge to protect precious little fingers, and the wheels allow for easy moving around. Oh, minimalistic little friend, we love you. Stool Kid Box ($120) is another contemporary storage idea from Boom. The drawer has handles on both sides and finish on all four sides, so it can be pulled out completely and used on its own as a side table, for storage, or both. Clean design with wheels make this stool box durable, mobile, and great addition to any room.

Gotta love that two our favorite companies have joined forces to make beautiful style more accessible. DwellStudio, purveyor of chic modern bedding, is joining the ranks of big-name designers (Michael Graves, Thomas O'Brien, et al) who've teamed with Target to offer high design at low prices. The line applies their signature graphic patterns to products for both Mom and Baby--and, of course, we're kinda partial to Baby.  Farm Girl crib set and skirt, $100, Soho crib, $290.

For moms who want to teach their babes the alphabet and the importance of Eames and Gehry, we present the Alphabet of Design Classics poster. Designer Joel Pirela created it for his daughter Isabella and is now selling prints for $35. Wouldn't it look great in a nursery above, say, a Danish credenza?

Design Mom Gabrielle Blair knows her stuff, and we love the Egg Designs rocker she just spotted.  Lovely!

While trolling Babygadget.com, we saw these great hooks from Kidz Lifestyle, which is in the Netherlands. "Kapstok" means "coat rack" and "jas" means "coat." But with Accroc letter hooks (below), you can spell whatever you want--in whatever language you want. What a great idea to keep towels and mounds of outerwear off the floor.
