Book designer Brooke Reynolds had a genius idea. She kept forgetting the hilariously childlike comments her two kids made, so she keeps a jar on her desk, and when the kids say something funny, she grabs a scrap of paper and scribbles it down.
What a lovely idea! The jar also comes in handy for a pick-me-up: On bad days, "I reach in and pull out a quote," Brooke says, "and suddenly I'm laughing and running to hug my little comedians."
