The Waterfront

From the Bay Bridge to the Golden Gate, the waterfront overlooking San Francisco Bay is a gold mine of culinary and outdoor adventures. You could eat every meal at the Ferry Building and never get tired of the offerings (as well as shop at its farmer's market, one of the best in the nation), take pictures of the sea lions at Pier 39, or ride on a ferryboat. And while life in a city with so much shoreline can feel like a beach, remember the other thing this town is famous for: the fog. Don't forget sweaters.
