Candler Park Area
On any given weekend, you're as likely to see jogging strollers as musicians on the sidewalks and bike paths connecting the many parks here. Start in artsy Little Five Points along Moreland Avenue, and browse the casual restaurants and cool shops. (Tweens will dig the edgy Junkman's Daughter.) Cute bungalows that have been renovated by young families lie east along McLendon Avenue. A couple of blocks farther are Candler Park's excellent playground, climbing trees, tennis courts, and picnic areas. You'll also find a couple of the largest dinosaurs in the world at the Fernbank Museum of Natural History, just to the northeast.
